Case Studies:

Market Entry Research Project – International Bank with Emerging Markets Focus

We were retained by an overseas bank to conduct research into the possibility of opening a new lease financing business in Latin America. The crux of this research was to determine whether the firm should run the business through a new local representative office or try to originate and manage deals on a fly in fly out business model. As part of the research we spoke to companies and government bodies in the region to assess how they had awarded deals in the leasing and structure financing genre and what factors governed the decisions as to which banks were mandated. As a result of our findings and recommendations our client in fact chose to open a local business and this was subsequently a success.

Advice and Preparation of Employment Contract and Partnership Agreement – New Fund Launch

We were fortunate to assist in the creation of a new fund, based in London. As part of this process we recruited staff but also were heavily involved in helping our client draft new employment contacts and construct robust and well constructed partnership agreements in conjunction with our employment lawyers. Our recommendations were accepted and this also allowed them to focus their time on important fund raising initiatives and investor road shows

Competitor Analysis – US / Latin America Sales Environment

A leading bank asked us to map and analyze their key 5 competitors to ascertain whether their business model was optimal in term so f targeted revenues per employee and also the actual size and configuration of their flow sales business. Our findings showed that their team needed to be expanded to take advantage of market opportunities and this resulted in a growth of the business and resulting net profits. Our findings were accepted and the client has reported both greater and enhanced per capita revenues in excess of the proportionate rise in cost to add three additional staff.
